Academic calendarIt is divided in two terms:
1st Semester: September-January
2nd Semester: March-July
Each term consists of 14 weeks of classes and 2 weeks for the exams.
Orientation days are planned to welcome exchange students at the beginning of each term. Attendance to these sessions is compulsory.

2nd Term: It is only available for Master and Dr programs.

Credit systemCredit Transfer  (CT) are a standard means for comparing the volume of learning based on the defined learning outcomes and their associated workload for higher education across UHAMKA. For successfully completed studies, CT and Card of Study Result are awarded.

Student Exchange Program:
Short Course Program
The Credits Systems depends on the program that you will take each department or program usually only provide you maximum 20 credits of 24 of each term.
 
Full Time Student Program:
In this program, you are allowed to take maximum 24 credits of 24 for each term.
Usual workloadStudent Exchange Program:
Short Course Program:
40 Credits per year – 20 Credits per term
 
Full Time Student Program:
48 Credits per year – 24 Credits per term
Grading systemThe UHAMKA grading system is based on a scale from A to E, where B is the minimum passing mark

EnrolmentStudents are requested to enrol online prior to arrival, on a first-come first-served basis. UHAMKA recommends a maximum of 20 CTS per term/semester.
 
Courses from other faculties are very much restricted and upon availability.
