Open Collaboration Opportunities in Japan. Japanese Language Education FKIP UHAMKA Produces Graduates with International Competence

Japanese Language Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Muhammadiyah University Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) together with the management of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) paid an official visit to Japan to collaborate with various companies in Japan, in three main cities in Japan, namely Yonago-Shi, Nagoya and Tokyo on 12 – 19 February 2025.

This activity was carried out to continue the partnership with Iluka College and Liana Sigrus as well as exploring opportunities for collaboration with various leading companies in Japan. These include Japanese Garden Yuushien, Association of Food Factories Sakaiminato, The Yonago Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Asahi Building Management, Marine Products Kimuraya, Daishin Food Factory, Yonago Cook Part, M-TEK, Toukou Group, Daikyo-Gumi, Ryobi, and several other companies.

The visit was attended and attended by Rita Agustina Karnawati as Head of Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP UHAMKA together with the management of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and also cooperation partners from companies in Japan.

Rita Agustina Karnawati hopes that through this visit, UHAMKA can establish broader partnerships with various companies in Japan. It is hoped that this partnership will open up internship opportunities for students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP UHAMKA in particular, as well as for UHAMKA students in general.

“Hopefully this visit can open opportunities for job access for UHAMKA student graduates to go to Japan. This opportunity will provide direct experience in a professional work environment in Japan, so that they can increase competence and understanding of work culture needed to compete in the global market,” said Rita.

This visit aims to be a step for FKIP UHAMKA in opening up many opportunities for its students to learn and enter directly into the world of work. Here, students will not only receive provision in the form of academic knowledge, but will also be educated to grow as individuals who are spiritually strong, intellectually intelligent, emotionally tough, and able to care about the social environment. The hope is that they will not only be prepared to face global competition, but can also bring positive change and contribute to the communities in which they live.
